Sister Love |
Whenever I have bad days with the girls I always have to remind myself of how lucky I am to have them. I also remind myself that I'm happy they are close in age, no matter how crazy they may be together, and that they will always have each other. Anyone who has a sister or sisters knows how FUN and cuhraaazy it can be growing up together but how comforting it is to know that you always have someone to rely on no matter what. I can't explain the joy I feel when I see them laughing and playing together and enjoying each other's company. Best present that came from being fertile myrtle! LOL jk jk.
Kid Updates:
-Elina says, "Shut up." Double yikes for that one! Lol. Not one of my proud mommy moments but we're working on having her say "Quiet please" instead. Gotta start watching my potty mouth much more from now on so I can be a better example! Other phrases Elina says.....wash ya hands=I want to wash my hands, seet down me=sit by me, brusha teeth=give me my toothbrush.
-Talanoa can stand by herself against the wall or couch. (Thank you Lynnea for teaching us your tricks. lol) Sometimes she can stand alone but only if she doesn't think about it. She can also scoot along furniture.
-The girls love playing ring around the rosey with me. Talanoa can't walk in a circle so we just sing, hold hands, and take baby steps. Another favorite lately is the wheels on the bus especially when Elina does the daddy on the bus snoring (learned that part from Mepa in nursery. Lol)
-Talanoa started clapping today and screams "Daaaaa" at the same time. Guess this proves she's a daddy's girl because she says nothing remotely close to mama. Funniest part is seeing her force herself to get louder and louder.
-Elina used the toilet twice so far. Both by luck but I'm not complaining. The first time I noticed she was going, asked her if she'd like to use the big girl toilet, and she said yes. Second time she ran to me and said, "Mommy, boo-boo toilet!" Who does that? Lol
-We weaned Elina off of her binky almost completely. She started sucking her fingers instead so we were forced to give it back to her during nap times and at night. It's a huge step for her though. She doesn't ask for it throughout the day anymore and always says "Bye-bye binty" as she hands it to me in the morning. So cute!
-Talanoa got mad at me when I tried to share her cheerios with a kid at church. How does she even know the cereal is hers in the first place? Beats me but it was so funny to see.
-Talanoa's in a big girl carseat :) She loves it! Her legs were hanging out of her other one and let's be real....she was way too heavy for me to carry in it!
Mommy/Daddy Updates:
-I am now on season 6 of Grey's Anatomy. Judge me! I watch it when the kids go to bed if that makes you feel better. Haha!
-I got released from nursery :( Happy and sad at the same time. Sad to leave the kids but happy that Elina can be on her own in there now.
-Vili got a Gold's Gym pass and has been going almost everyday. So proud of him!
