Jumpin' January

Definitely had a crazy busy month with a million birthdays (with Willy, Vili, Elina, Juliet, and Losi's in the mix), a million goals to reach, and a million great memories.  I just love my girls and watching them grow.  They really do say the darndest things!  I read an article that my friend, Ashley, posted on her blog the other day about not wasting the time we have while our kids are young and not "wishing the time away" because it will be gone before we know it.  Made me realize how much "wishing away" (wishing they would hurry and grow, talk, walk, etc to ease or lesson my job mothering)  I do and how I need to stop and savor every moment of their childhood.  This is me savoring it by being more conscious of what makes them unique and trying to be better at documenting it all.

Talanoa:
-Obsessed with blowing her nose.  She's pretty good at it too.
-Throws up gang signs in her pictures.  Smiles 5% of the time and makes faces the other 95%.
-Has a thing for pockets.  Always has to have her hands in her sweater/jacket pocket if there are any.  She thinks she's so cool!
-Plays with dolls now.  Swaddles them and shares her food and lip gloss with them.
-Always the first to rise in the morning.  If she's sleeping in a different room than me she will wake up and walk over to where I am to cuddle.  It's so cute!  The not so cute part is when she can't lay there quietly.  Lol!
-Always singing parts of songs to herself.  Her favorites lately are Happy Birthday, I Am a Child of God, and Once There was a Snowman

Elina:
-Has moved on from Brave and is now watching Tinker Bell "Lost Treasure" which she calls "new one".  There are like 4 Tinker Bell movies on Netflix and that was just came out hence her nickname for it.
-Is a selfie picture taking queen.
-Holds her pee until the very last second.  She literally crosses her legs sometimes and walks to the bathroom that way so she won't pee her pants.
-Uses the bathtub as a slide.  Looks very painful but she enjoys it.
-Says "What?" when we call her name.  I hate it!  We're trying to teach her to say "Yes" or "Koau" but it has yet to stick.
-Can put her own socks and boots on.  It isn't always on the correct foot but she can do it.
-Chooses the smaller piece of anything I offer her and thinks she's choosing the bigger one.  She'll even say, "I no want the litto one.  I want big one."  And then chooses the little one.
-Saw me pulling my mom's white hairs so now she tries to do it to me.
-Favorite YouTube with her Dad is the banana one of Despicable Me.
-Has memorized most of her favotite book Hop on Pop by Dr. Seuss.  She calls it "cup cup".

Vili and I:
-Finally left TMobile!  We joined Sprint and finally got iPhones which we LOVE!
-Both got raises  :)  Every penny counts!
-Vili told people he was going on a plant based diet but has been eating worse than ever before.  Lol!  I think the thought of giving up the foods he loves was unbearable.
-Got new visiting teaching assignments and companions.  I'm now with Tefa Nasio and Dorothy Vatikani.
-Started a new show called Downton Abbey and now I'm all caught up.  Why do I get so easily addicted to TV series?  Don't worry, I only watch them during naptimes, bedtime, or at work.
