November Updates

Talanoa:
-Her favorite word is no.  Once she starts saying no she can't stop.
-Thinks Molly is her little doll and tries to feed her, change her diaper, put clothes on her.  Molly gets pretty annoyed to say the least.  Lol.
-Was waking up at 7:30am on the dot when she was sleeping at 9pm.
-Thinks it's funny to touch our ears to sleep like Elina does.  She is quite the comedian.
-Screams bloody murder when we try to give her half of anything especially food/candy.  Seriously has full on melt downs as if someone beat her.  Makes me want to beat her.  Lol!
-Obsessed with babies.  Calls all kids babies, even the one's her own age and size.  Pretty funny.

Elina:
-Favorite line is, "I do it myself."
-Is always wearing my heels around the house.  She's a natural I might add.
-In love with boots right now.
-Blesses everything and everyone in her prayers.
-Goes to the toilet all by herself sometimes.
-Obsessed with the movie Brave.  Vili won the movie at UVU and the kids have been watching it nonstop since then.  First line in the morning after I ask what they want for breakfast is, "I want to watch Brave!"

Vili & I:
-I started crocheting thanks to crafty friends who motivate me with their pictures.  Made a few scarves that turned out really good!
-Only thing I can think of is that we finally bought a new TV and stand to go with it.  I love it!  It's about time too.  Haha!
-Oh yeah, we're a two car family now!  Vili bought a really old VW Jetta on KSL.  One of the wheels fell off when Vili was driving on the freeway (no harm to Vili just the car, thank goodness!) but other than that it hasn't been too bad of an investment.  So grateful to have 2 cars!

O for Owesome October

Thank goodness for my sticky note app on my phone otherwise there would be no October updates.  Thank you, technology because I seriously have the worst memory.

Talanoa:

-Is definitely in her terrible 2's.  She's not even 2 yet.  Lucky us!  Lol.

-Thinks my shirt is a huge pocket.  She'll try to put her binky's down my shirt because for a while she was obsessed with putting things in her own pocket.  One day she asked for help putting her binky in her pocket but she had no pockets so I put it in her shirt.  She thought it was hilarious and keeps putting things in my shirt.  Not so fun in public.  Lol!

-Calls all fruits "trawberries".  She never pronounces the s.

Elina:

-Is doing great at using pronouns.

-Got the movie Incredibles from Nolan when we went to Arizona.  She has been watching it everyday but they scratched it so we don't have to be tortured anymore.  Hahaha!

-Is so good at sharing these days!
-Broke her pinky toe while we were watching conference at Robin's.  She jumped up and caught her foot in her pant leg, fell, and was limping.  She kept telling us her big toe hurt but when we got it x-rayed we found out it was her pinky toe.  Lol.  She didn't need a cast and is back to normal now :)

Vili and I:

-I started picking up a few hours a week in medical records with Janet Davidson.  I love it and it feels good to learn something new.

-Vili started his block classes at school.

-We used daylight savings to move the girls sleep schedules up.  They are sleeping at 9:30pm now instead of 11:30pm.  It has been AWESOME!  They eat dinner, take a bath, read books, call Dad at work to say goodnight, say prayer, and then it's lights out.  Next step is having them put themselves to bed!

Safari Halloween

I decided I'm gonna do themes for Halloween for as long as I can because when the kids grow up I won't be able to pick their costumes anymore.  They'll probably hate me but whatevs.  Lol.  Vili and I weren't planning on dressing up this year but changed our minds last minute.  Dressing up is so fun!  Not sure why we are always on the fence about it.

Is anyone else surprised that Elina put a costume on?  She would cry when we would try to put her costume on at home but we pull up to the parking lot and bam!  Costume on.  No questions asked.  No bribery necessary.  Lol.  She was supposed to be a monkey but we let her choose in the parking lot and she chose to be a lion so her and Talanoa were twinsies.  I loved it!  Vili was a safari guy and I was supposed to be a giraffe.  Makeup doesn't really count as a costume but it's better than nothing.  Molly just so happened to fit in our theme and was my little twinner giraffe!  Haha.  Here's all the fun pics!

Arizona Trip

We went to Arizona to visit my husband's twin brothers, Nolan and Weston.  They play football out there for Mesa Community so we went down for a weekend to watch their game against Snow College.  They lost but it was so nice to get out of Utah, even if it was just for a couple of days.  The weather was perfect!  The twins were such good hosts while we were there.  I hope they play there again next year so we can do another road trip.

Some highlights of the trip:
-Elina thinking the trees were big broccoli's.
-Talking to Vili the entire ride reminiscing about everything.  I'm sure I talked his ear off (lol) but it was so fun!
-Squeezing in the back with the girls because they were so demanding!  I know I'm small but dang!  Can we say tight squeeze?  Definitely getting an  SUV next time.  Lol!
-Elina calling sunflower seeds "crunchies".  Her and Talanoa would try to copy us and eat them but really just like spitting.

So, Elisha, Talanoa, and I made these shirts for the girls.  

Next time I think we'll get them made by professionals.  Hahahaha!
