Merry Christmas!

Christmas is so fun when you have to kids to enjoy it with especially at this innocent age when they could care less about what they get.  All they care about is tearing off that wrapping paper.  It's so fulfilling to see them light up at the simplest gifts.  We got the girls clothes this year because we knew they'd be spoiled with toys from family members.  We filled their stockings with cheap books, mini brushes, and their favorite gift of the day....lip glosses and candy!  Lol!  It seriously melts my heart to see them so happy.  Vili and I filled our own stockings with little things we wanted.  Who does that?  Haha!  And we didn't even get each other gifts.  We just alloted a certain amount of money for things we've been wanting.  I honestly don't even think either of us have spent our money yet.  Oh well!  It's all about our kids :)

My hardworking hunny had to work again on Christmas night so I had a movie night with the girls in their new pajamas which they loved.  Popcorn and candy were a must at Elina's request.  Lol.  Before we fell asleep I decided to read them a book about the Savior's birth to help bring the focus back on the real reason why we celebrate Christmas.  We sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and called it a night.  We definitely had a Merry Christmas this year!

I told the girls to sit on the couch to get ready to open presents.  Came back into the living room with Talanoa like this saying, "I ready Mommy."  Lol!

Christmas Eve Celebrations

Both families decided to celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve this year which was kind of overwhelming.  Lol Vili had to help cook pigs in the morning and then he had to work his swing shift (3-11pm) so I was a single mom during all the festivities.  We started with our Samani Christmas at the chapel this year.  Food was on point but everything felt so rushed so I couldn't relax at all.  Lol.  The kids got spoiled and had fun running around with each other and the new strollers they got from Mepa.  We headed home after that to take a quick nap and off to my Mom's we went.

This was the first year we did a pixie on my side of the family and I really enjoyed it.  We had dinner and exchanged gifts with the kids in their matching Christmas pajamas we got them.  We ended the night with a family movie night watching Beyonce's concert on dvd.  Lol!  During the movie we kept debating whether Beyonce was pregnant or not so when Vili got home from work Elina told him, "Yeah, she pregnant"  followed by jibberish and then again, "she pregnant!"  It was hilarious!  Talanoa loved her wagon that Dom bought her and wouldn't let Elina or Molly go near it.  These kids man!

Favorite part of my day was when Vili walked in the door at 11:15pm to help me get the kids packed up and ready to head home.  I promise I wasn't a party pooper but what a huge relief after a crazy busy day.  Man I was exhausted!

New Christmas Traditions

I don't know what's gotten into Vili but this year he decided we should have stockings.  He's not a very festive person but I guess he is when it comes to his babies.  I scored some fun stockings for the girls from the dollar store and a new tradition has been born.  I had to ask people what they put in stockings because we're fobs and didn't grow up with them.  Lol!

Another tradition we started that I wouldn't care to do again is gingerbread houses.  Lol!  I've always wanted to make them as a family but it was a huge fail.  Mostly because we let Isa convince us she knew what she was doing but at least we learned in case there's a next time.  The kids had fun eating the candy and that's all that matters :)
